“Saul and I–we used to be drinking and clubbing buddies,” Monica reveals, talking about her husband Saul who then echoes: “Our love story is 0.5% Red horse.”

This Wang couple began their love story over open bars, night-outs, and office spaces. Having met at work in 2007 when the two had a chance to work within the same department (at least for a few days before Saul transfers to another team), he and Monica were two friends who loved to hang out together. Friendship developed and after dating for almost a year, the beer buddies became a lovely couple. Still two-of-a-kind, to say the least.

“Monica has been my prayer partner, inspiration, friend, and adviser,” Saul shared, “prayer and perseverance were the major priorities that drove our relationship.” And even in the times when the two had to brave through major difficulties, Saul and Monica found God to be the anchor of their partnership.

“There was even a time at first when my parents did not like him. Getting their approval on our relationship felt impossible,” Monica confesses, “but we prayed for the perfect timing and Saul was very persistent in pleasing my  parents. Now they love him just like their own!”

And that was just the first of a tale filled with miracles. Because when God gets invited in, the partnership prospers!

Five years along in this sweet story, Saul and Monica continue to celebrate the love that they have found–one that is “from God, unconditional, and worth all the sacrifices.”

It is this love that has worked wonders, and Saul’s life is a proof: “I’ve become a better person because of Monica. I’m glad to have her as my partner in everything.”

“We used to be drinking and clubbing partners,” Monica sums up, “But now we’re better people by God’s grace. I’m moved by how he serves the Lord.”

“Saul has truly been my partner in everything, especially in God’s ministry,” she continues, “and we dream of building a family that is active in serving Christ.”
